KaVo has introduced the MASTERmatic M45L, a new high-speed handpiece designed for improved access, visibility, and precision in routine dental procedures. The device operates at speeds up to 168,000 rpm with a 1:4.2 speed ratio and accommodates bur lengths of up to 25mm.
Key design features and specifications
The M45L combines a compact head with ergonomic design to improve visibility in difficult-to-access areas, particularly when treating children and senior patients. The handpiece includes KaVo's Plasmatec coating for grip and hygiene, an ultra-durable FG chuck with carbide guide bushing, and ceramic ball bearings for low-vibration operation at 55 dB(A). Bur retention is secured at 30N of retention power with centric, precise rotation. Illumination reaches 25,000 lux via a glass rod conductor, and internal cooling through the CoolHead Technology prevents overheating. The handpiece features a changeable water filter for self-maintenance and carries a 24-month warranty.
