Henry Schein expands Zirlux 3D print resins for in-house dental practice use
Zirlux resins now available for chairside production; practices must verify compatibility with existing equipment.
Henry Schein announced in February the expansion of Zirlux 3D Print Resins to dental practices, moving beyond laboratory-only use. The materials are compatible with a broad range of existing equipment, allowing practices to bring production and chairside planning steps in-house. All resins are BPA, MMA, and phthalate-free.
Available materials for in-house production
The portfolio includes six materials tailored to different clinical applications. Zirlux Model Print Resin is optimised for dental and orthodontic model printing with fast production and precise detail, including an integrated thermoforming release agent. Zirlux Nightguard and Splint Resin comes in two options: Flexible, which combines strength with added flexibility for patient comfort, and Rigid, designed for applications requiring greater structural firmness and durability. Both are biocompatible and cleared for nightguards, splints, mouthguards, repositioners, and bleaching trays.
Specialised resins for surgical and aesthetic applications
Zirlux Surgical Guide Resin is a rigid, biocompatible Class I material designed for guided surgeries requiring precise fit and accurate implant placement. It withstands sterilisation including autoclaving without compromising material integrity or colour stability. Zirlux Gingiva Mask is a flexible material designed to mimic the look and feel of gum tissue, with low shrinkage to maintain dimensional accuracy and support trimming and customisation. The complete lineup emphasises aesthetics, high accuracy, and extensive printer validation to support digital workflows within dental practices.
