DEXIS has released DTX Studio Clinic v4.7, adding FDA-cleared AI diagnostics and multi-site connectivity to its imaging platform. The update introduces intelligent detection of up to 15 diagnostic insights on 2D intraoral radiographs, including eight newly added restorative indicators such as crowns, bridges, and root canals. Full-mouth AI detection is now five times faster than previous versions.

AI capabilities and workflow improvements

The latest version expands AI indicators to detect 14 diagnostic insights on panoramic and CBCT images, with enhanced caries visualisation for clearer tooth assessment and patient communication. New features include bone measurement tools for tracking alveolar bone levels in periodontal cases, smart grouping to automatically organise findings by tooth or arch, and customisable views with colour-coded layers for easier interpretation. Advanced planning options now include STL export for jaws and teeth, plus enhanced 3D panoramic and cephalometric imaging. The update also streamlines workflow with faster practice management system integration, smoother implant updates, and an improved user interface. DEXIS reports that over 50,000 clinics worldwide currently use its imaging platforms, processing more than half a billion images annually.

Multi-site synchronisation and new partnerships

DEXIS introduced DTX Studio Go Sync, a cloud-native solution for multi-location practices that enables secure synchronisation of patient records across all sites. The platform supports access to imaging and diagnostic data from any location, maintaining continuity of care and data security. The company has expanded its partner ecosystem with new integrations including CephX for AI-powered cephalometric analysis in orthodontic cases, BeamReaders for expert radiology review and fast CBCT diagnosis, and Qlone for advanced 3D face scanning in restorative and orthodontic workflows. These integrations are designed to strengthen end-to-end workflows and enable faster, more accurate care delivery.
