Six US dental service organizations have opened new locations or added practice partnerships on the West Coast during 2026. The expansions include de novo offices and acquisitions of existing practices across Washington and Arizona.

DSO expansion activity on the West Coast

Heartland Dental, based in Effingham, Illinois, opened Dental Care at Union Ridge in Ridgefield, Washington. Imagen Dental Partners, headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona, partnered with Heiden Family Dental in Sunnyside, Washington. SALT Dental Partners, based in Phoenix, also expanded its footprint in the region. These moves reflect ongoing consolidation in the US dental market, with DSOs continuing to grow through both new practice launches and acquisitions of independent dental offices.

Why DSOs target the West Coast

The West Coast remains an attractive market for DSO expansion due to population growth, patient demand, and the availability of independent practices seeking partnership or acquisition. These transactions allow DSOs to scale their operations while giving practice owners access to management support, shared services, and group purchasing power. For dental professionals, DSO partnerships can offer additional resources and operational infrastructure alongside clinical autonomy.
